In my opinion, the convenience outweighs the negatives. We are after all, still able to turn the phone off.

To many people think they are still in control just because they still possess the ability to turn the device off. The truth is, when the time comes to actually turn it off, the person is not the one actually in control, but the device. Many people are bound to their electronic devices almost against their own will.
